The HeadHunters High Fly 2013

Funky is as funky does...

Fellow babies, funk is indeed where you find it. A feeling, an in the pocket groove that lays down a beat you can hear with your feet and feel in your hips. Funk is part of the place way down past your soul. Digging funk is like falling in love, you really can not explain it but you know it when it happens!
Hardcore aficionados are familiar with the HeadHunters. I stumbled across this gem while playing musical prospector looking for that gold nugget. The one thing and perhaps most important thing I have learned walking the critical jazz high wire without a net is sometimes you have to take what you know and what you are comfortable with and move past that. The HeadHunters take an old school retro flash fried funk groove and simply amp it up for the next generation. This is Big Apple funk, the sound and heartbeat of the city that never sleeps.
High Fly is in the pocket squared...Groove-a-licious. Now for those of you playing at home just who are these guys?
This is a new release from the legendary jazz/funk band The Headhunters featuring Paul Jackson on bass, Bill Summers on percussion, Mike Clark on drums, Brian Jackson on keyboards and Jerry Stucker on guitar.
Need more?
All play on vocal/hipspoken word funk artist Tony Adamo's music. Jerry Stucker produced three of Adamo CD's. Legendary drummer Mike Clark is now Tony Adamo's producer. Clark produced Tony Adamo's current CD, MILES OF BLU/MOB.
